Menu Sections

This section of the Edit Site page gives control over your Webulator website menu.

Drag this icon to change the order of menu sections

To change the order of menu sections, drag the icon (shown right) at the start of the relevant row and drop it at the position where you want the section to appear.

To change a section, click on the "Edit" button to the right of the section name that you want to change:

  • "Menu text". This is the name that will appear in your Webulator website's menu.
  • "Section name". This forms part of the URL for articles in this section (e.g http://www.yourname.co.uk/sectionname/articlenumber) and so cannot contain any spaces. Internal section names can only be changed if there are no articles associated with the section.
  • "Description". Any text here will appear in a tooltip when the mouse pointer hovers over the name displayed in the menu.
  • "Section type". This controls how articles in the section are displayed. For example, they may be normal articles or calendar events.
  • "Home page". A checkbox indicating whether the section represents the home page or not. Only one section can be marked as the home page.

To add a new section to your website, click on the "Add section" button:

If there are no articles associated with a menu section then there will also be an option to delete that section by clicking on the delete section button:
