Deleting Sections

The "Delete Section" button

Sections can only be deleted if they have no articles associated with them. If a section can be deleted, it will have a "delete section" button next to it on the Site Admin page.

If you really want to delete a section and it has articles associated with it, those articles will need to be either deleted or associated with a different section first.

To find all articles in a particular section, use the Search page with an empty search string, limit the search to just the section you are interested in and ignore article dates.
